Description

Guidelines for Visiting the Tiger Reserve

1. Arrival
   • Visitors must arrive at least 45 minutes before the Safari Time. Late arrival may be liable for cancellation without prior intimation.
2. Entry Requirements
   • Entry from Shivtarai gate
   • Obtain a permit from ATR Administration before entering the tiger reserve.
   • The entry permit is non-transferable and may be canceled at any 􀆟me for rule
     violations.
3. Safety and Conduct
   • Do not enter the reserve with firearms or explosives.
   • Smoking and carrying matches or lighters are strictly prohibited to prevent forest
     fires.
   • Maintain silence and discipline during excursions.
   • Do not carry transistors, tape recorders, or Bluetooth speakers.
4. Driving and Navigation
   • Drive slowly, with a recommended speed of 20 km/h.
   • Avoid honking.
   • Always take an official guide with you and follow their instructions.
   • Do not leave the vehicle unless instructed by the guide.
5. Wildlife Respect
   • Always carry drinking water.
   • Do not chase or tease wild animals; they have the right of way.
   • Littering (including cans, bottles, and plastic bags) is strictly prohibited and
     punishable under law.
   • Do not attempt to remove any forest property or produce; it is punishable under law.
6. Clause: Unauthorized Alighting in Core Area
   • No tourist, guide, driver, or any other individual shall alight, disembark, or move on foot from
     the designated safari vehicle within the notified Core Area of Achanakmar Tiger Reserve
     without prior permission from the competent authority or the authorized forest officer.
   • Any person found violating this condition shall be immediately evicted from the Tiger Reserve,
     and necessary legal action shall be initiated under the provisions of the Wildlife (Protection)
     Act, 1972, including but not limited to Sections 27, 28, and 51, which prescribe penalties for
     trespass, disturbance, or unauthorized entry and movement within a Sanctuary or National
     Park.
   • In addition, such individuals shall be blacklisted from all future entries and bookings in
     Achanakmar Tiger Reserve, and their details may be communicated to other Tiger Reserves
     and competent authorities for necessary action.
7. Compliance
   • Visitors must abide by all provisions of the Wildlife (Protec􀆟on) Act of 1972 and the
     rules made thereunder, along with all relevant guidelines issued by the National
     Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA).
   • Failure to comply with these rules may result in immediate expulsion from the
     reserve and possible legal ac􀆟on.

बाघ आरक्षित क्षेत्र में जाने के लिए दिशानिर्देश

1. आगमन
   • आगंतुकों को सफ़ारी समय से कम से कम 45 मिनट पहले पहुंचना होगा। देरी से पहुंचने पर बिना पूर्व सूचना के टिकट रद्द किया जा सकता है।
2. प्रवेश की आवश्यकताएँ
   • बाघ आरक्षित क्षेत्र में प्रवेश करने से पहले एक अनुमति प्राप्त करें।
   • प्रवेश अनुमति हस्तांतरणीय नहीं है और नियमों का उल्लंघन करने पर कभी भी रद्द की जा सकती है।
3. सुरक्षा और व्यवहार
   • आरक्षित क्षेत्र में आग्नेयास्त्रों या विस्फोटकों के साथ प्रवेश न करें।
   • वन अग्नि को रोकने के लिए धूम्रपान और माचिस या लाइटर लाना प्रतिबंधित है।
   • यात्राओं के दौरान चुप्पी और अनुशासन बनाए रखें।
   • ट्रांज़िस्टर या टेप रिकॉर्डर न लाएँ।
4. ड्राइविंग और मार्गदर्शन
   • धीमी गति से चलाएँ, अनुशंसित गति 20 किमी/घंटा है।
   • हॉर्न बजाने से बचें।
   • हमेशा एक आधिकारिक गाइड के साथ जाएँ और उनकी निर्देशों का पालन करें।
   • गाइड द्वारा निर्देशित किए बिना वाहन से बाहर न निकलें।
5. वन्यजीवों का सम्मान
   • हमेशा पीने का पानी ले जाएँ।
   • वन्यजीवों का पीछा या छेड़खानी न करें; उन्हें रास्ते का अधिकार है।
   • कचरा (जैसे कैन, बोतलें और प्लास्टिक बैग) फेंकना प्रतिबंधित है।
   • किसी भी वन संपत्ति को न हटाएँ।
6. प्रावधान: कोर क्षेत्र में बिना अनुमति वाहन से उतरने पर प्रतिबंध
   • कोई भी पर्यटक, गाइड, चालक अथवा अन्य व्यक्ति अचानकमार टाइगर रिज़र्व के अधिसूचित कोर क्षेत्र में निर्धारित सफारी वाहन से बिना सक्षम अधिकारी या प्राधिकृत वन अधिकारी की पूर्व अनुमति के उतर नहीं सकेगा, वाहन से पैदल नहीं चल सकेगा तथा निर्धारित मार्ग से विचलित नहीं होगा।
   • इस नियम का उल्लंघन करने वाले व्यक्ति को तत्काल प्रभाव से टाइगर रिज़र्व क्षेत्र से निष्कासित किया जाएगा तथा उसके विरुद्ध वन्यजीव संरक्षण अधिनियम, 1972 की धारा 27, 28 एवं 51 के अंतर्गत विधिक कार्रवाई की जाएगी, जिनके तहत अभयारण्य या राष्ट्रीय उद्यान में अनधिकृत प्रवेश, विचरण या व्यवधान हेतु दंड का प्रावधान है।
   • इसके अतिरिक्त, ऐसे व्यक्तियों को भविष्य में अचानकमार टाइगर रिज़र्व में प्रवेश या बुकिंग से स्थायी रूप से प्रतिबंधित (ब्लैकलिस्ट) किया जाएगा तथा आवश्यकतानुसार उनकी जानकारी अन्य टाइगर रिज़र्वों एवं सक्षम अधिकारियों को भी प्रेषित की जाएगी।
7. अनुपालन
   • आगंतुकों को वन्यजीव (संरक्षण) अधिनियम, 1972 और इसके तहत बनाए गए नियमों के साथ-साथ राष्ट्रीय बाघ संरक्षण प्राधिकरण (NTCA) द्वारा जारी सभी संबंधित दिशानिर्देशों का पालन करना आवश्यक है।
   • इन नियमों का उल्लंघन करने पर आरक्षित क्षेत्र से तुरंत निष्कासन और संभावित कानूनी कार्रवाई की जा सकती है।
